Green Atlas

Green Atlas is a smart system designed for any type of vessels. Before implementation of the system, a vessel specific assessment will be carried out to optimize energy management, including the use of renewable energy sources like solar and wind power to understand the potential of the use of fossil fuels and emissions. The system aims to reduce emissions from vessels by helping to optimize vessel operations and reduce fuel consumption with measures listed below:

  • Vessel performance monitoring: The system will monitor vessel performance in real-time, including fuel consumption, speed, and other parameters. The collected data will be used to identify opportunities for fuel savings and emissions reductions.
  • Weather and sea conditions prediction: The system will utilise data to predict weather and sea conditions, which will be used to optimize vessel speed and route. By avoiding areas with adverse conditions, vessels can reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
  • Predictive maintenance: The system will be used to predict maintenance needs by utilising the data from the existing condition monitoring systems. This will be allowing vessel operators to perform maintenance before malfunctions occur.
  • Automated routing and speed optimization: The system will automate routing and speed optimization, taking into account vessel characteristics, weather and sea conditions, and other factors. This can help vessels save fuel and reduce emissions by following the most efficient route at the optimal speed.
